Membership

As an active club with a broad reach, we offer membership options based on your level and your desire to be involved in the club.

Full Membership

Our full membership option is for the slightly more advanced player. This allows the member to participate in our organized social events
and our Wednesday and Saturday social days

Limited Membership

Our limited membership is aimed at the social level players and allows full access to our facilities and court bookings but does not allow access to the organized socials on a Wednesday, Saturday and certain Public Holidays.
Membership acceptance is vetted by the club committee. For full membership, the applicants may be required to be evaluated on the tennis court by one of our committee members. This would be done at either a Saturday or Wednesday social session.
Both of our membership options are available as individual or family memberships.

NOTE - Full Membership applications:
You have one month (after submitting your application) to join the Wed/Sat Social tennis to get instant insight into the level of play while you also get to know the other members.
Unless your standard of tennis is well known to the Committee, you will be asked to join a Wednesday or Saturday Social afternoon for evaluation by the Committee.
Exact dates and times will be discussed at the time.

RESTRICTIONS - Limited membership may not play during:
Social tennis on Wednesday, Saturday or Public Holiday afternoons ∙ League tennis on Saturdays, for 7 weeks end of Jan-March and then again in Sept-Oct.
Dates vary from year to year and members will be informed accordingly.

May not participate in the Club Championships.
Limited Members are encouraged to play during the mornings and on Sundays.
MEMBERSHIP FEES are annual, January to December. Should you join after January you will pay pro rata for the year.

KEEN TO BECOME A SWCC TENNIS MEMBER?
THE PROCESS OF APPLYING AND BECOMING A SWCCT MEMBER IS AS FOLLOWS:

Complete the membership form.
Pay the R100 admin fee as directed on the membership form, use your name as reference.
Send completed form AND proof of R100 admin payment to swcctennisclub@gmail.com. You can also drop off the completed form and pay the R100 with Eveline van Niekerk at the clubhouse.
DO NOT PAY ANY MEMBERSHIP FEES AT THIS STAGE.
You will be informed by the Membership Secretary if your application was successful. (See *NOTE above regarding Full Adult/Family membership applications.)
You will then receive an invoice from our treasurer for payment of the joining fee and pro rata membership fee.
Email proof of payment to swcctennisclub@gmail.com. You will be considered a member only after receipt by the Club of your invoice payment.
You will be placed on the Club's email and WhatsApp groups for all future correspondence.
